Dr. Maria Irmina Prasetiyowati, S.Kom., M.T. is a lecturer in the Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Engineering and Informatics, at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN). She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Sekolah Tinggi Informatika & Komputer Indonesia and obtained both her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Her areas of expertise include informatics and computer science as well as information technology, with a focus on developing computing solutions to support a wide range of information technology applications.
Dr. Maria has authored various scientific publications covering topics such as computer vision, optical character recognition (OCR), mobile applications, machine learning, and data mining. Her research includes the implementation of the Eigenface algorithm for face recognition in attendance systems, the gamification of student routines through mobile applications to enhance campus experiences, and feature selection for the Random Forest algorithm. Through her research and teaching activities, she continues to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the application of technology in the fields of informatics and information technology.
