Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) continues to strengthen the on-campus entrepreneurial ecosystem by offering strategic programs for its students. Through a collaboration between Skystar Ventures UMN and the UMN Career Development Center (CDC), the “Career Building 2026: Entrepreneurship Development Program” was successfully held as a forum to explore careers in the startup world.
The program took place in four intensive sessions on February 3-5 and February 10, 2026. With the theme “From Ideas to Initiatives: Building Your Entrepreneurial Path,” this webinar was designed to help students identify potential business ideas in sectors relevant to their respective faculties and to learn how to execute them sustainably.
Featuring Inspirational Founders in Each Faculty
To provide practical insights, Skystar Ventures and CDC UMN will feature startup founders who have achieved success in their respective fields. The series of sessions is divided based on faculty specializations to ensure the content is relevant to students’ academic backgrounds:
- Faculty of Communication Sciences (February 3): Featuring Irfan Prabowo, CEO of Infipop, who will share insights on business opportunities in the media and creative content industry.
- Faculty of Engineering & Informatics (February 4): Together with Irzan Raditya, Co-founder & CEO of Kata.ai, students explore the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in building digital solutions.
- Faculty of Business (February 5): Michella Ham, Founder & CEO of SkinGame, thoroughly discusses strategies for building a strong brand and business operational management from scratch.
- Faculty of Arts & Design (February 10): Presented by Florance Giovani, Founder & COO of Studio Antelope, who explained how to turn creativity into a professional content production business.
Preparing Students for the Industrial World
In addition to sharing technical tips and experiences, the speakers emphasized the importance of having the right entrepreneurial mindset. This is in line with the main objective of this collaboration, which is to prepare students to enter the professional industrial world with a resilient and innovative mentality.
Not only did students gain inspiration from practitioners, but they were also introduced to Skystar Ventures UMN. In each session, the Skystar Ventures team presented various support services available on campus, including incubation programs, mentor access, and collaborative workspaces available to all UMN students who want to start their own businesses.
Student enthusiasm for this program was very high, as evidenced by the participation of around 2,000 students in total throughout the series of sessions.
Through the synergy between Skystar Ventures and CDC UMN, it is hoped that entrepreneurship will no longer be merely an alternative but a career path that UMN graduates are ready to pursue. This program is clear evidence that the university is a major supporter of the development of Indonesia’s future innovators.
