UMN Architecture Study Program Welcomes Muhammadiyah University Kendari to UMN

Tangerang, (February 10, 2026) – The UMN Architecture Program recently received a visit from Muhammadiyah University Kendari. The visit was attended by students along with the head of the architecture program at Muhammadiyah University, Kendari.

The visit from Muhammadiyah University Kendari was not merely a courtesy call; it also provided students with deeper inspiration in create sustainable architectural works. To enrich this visit, the Head of the UMN Architecture Study Program, Hedista Rani Pranata, S.Ars., M.Ars., also briefly shared the learning process at UMN Architecture.

During this opportunity, students from Muhammadiyah University Kendari also toured the UMN campus, visiting the lab facilities, architecture classrooms, and studios, and seeing firsthand the work of UMN architecture students.

“I had previously heard and learned about the architecture study program at UMN. In my opinion, visually, UMN’s architecture program has extraordinary learning, especially in terms of sustainability and the facilities available for students,” Andi Muh. Dinul Aslan, an architecture student at Muhammadiyah University Kendari, said.

Andi expressed his joy at being able to visit and see firsthand the facilities and learning resources available. For Andi, this visit was a memorable experience for hands-on learning in the field.

“It was a pleasure to visit the UMN campus with the students. Not only did they get to see the learning environment, but they were also able to see UMN’s architectural buildings firsthand, which serve as a reference for field study courses, as well as the works of UMN students,” Ar. Afri Ahyarky Abidin, S.T., M.Ars.L, IAI., Head of the Architecture Study Program at Muhammadiyah University Kendari, said.

For Afri, this visit was important because students could see firsthand the reality of landscape architecture in Indonesia, so they could not only see various works online but also gain direct references.

“I hope that with this visit, the students of Muhammadiyah University Kendari will have greater aspirations and study even harder. In addition, this visit is also expected to motivate the students,” he added.

This visit is expected to provide valuable lessons and inspire students at Muhammadiyah University Kendari. Furthermore, this activity is also expected to strengthen relationships between universities in Indonesia.
