Tangerang, (February 13, 2026) – A total of 26 students from Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) participated in a send-off event for an international student exchange program with partner universities in Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, and Japan.
To strengthen international collaboration, UMN continues to offer exchange programs every semester as part of its internationalization strategy. The partner universities involved in this exchange program include the Korean University of Media Arts, Multimedia University Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Universiti Malaya, Chang Gung University, Van Lang University, Parul University, and Musashino University.
“This student exchange not only strengthens UMN’s relationship with partner universities, but also provides new and valuable opportunities for students. By participating in student exchanges, I hope that students can have a positive impact and share their stories with the UMN academic community,” Dr. Andrey Andoko, UMN Rector, said.
For Andrey, student exchange programs not only provide students with new knowledge but also serve as a strategic step for UMN in shaping their future careers.
“I hope that through this student exchange program, students can gain as much new knowledge as possible, learn about new cultures they have never encountered before, connect with new people, and of course, bring UMN’s good name to the international stage,” Andrey said.
This event was also attended by UMN Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Friska Natalia, S.Kom., M.T., who, as Vice Rector for Academic and International Affairs, expressed her pride and support for the students who had the opportunity to participate in the exchange program.
“This program is one of UMN’s internationalization initiatives. We hope this program runs smoothly and that students gain new academic knowledge. Of course, it will also provide an enjoyable experience for students and encourage more UMN students to participate in the future,” Friska said.
In the future, Friska will continue to collaborate with international universities to promote student exchanges each semester. Not only student exchanges, but Friska will also, in the future, initiate international internships for UMN students. Following the meeting with exchange students, Dr. Ika Yanuarti, S.E., M.S.F, CSA., as Vice Rector for Student Affairs, also attended the event.
“Through this student exchange program, students will certainly meet and interact with more people. However, we will continue to emphasize that students must uphold the 5C values (Caring, Credible, Competent, Competitive, & Customer Delight) wherever they are. This opportunity is beneficial for students, and I hope it will not only be useful during their studies but also in their future careers,” Ika said.
Ika hopes that students in the exchange program will gain memorable learning experiences and, of course, give their best to their partner universities. This activity is also expected to help students draw on their experiences to learn about a wider range of cultures.
“There will always be a first experience in everything. I hope that through this exchange program, students will gain various experiences and be encouraged to study harder. They can explore new things that may not exist in Indonesia, both in terms of learning and culture,” Prof. Dr. Florentina Kurniasari T., S.Sos., M.B.A., Vice Rector for Research, Innovation and Sustainability, said.
According to her, this opportunity can be one way for students to develop various new skills. Sari hopes that through this student exchange program, students can expand their networks and also maintain long-term collaboration between UMN and its partner universities.
