Serpong, February 9, 2026 — Multimedia Nusantara School (MNS) officially held a groundbreaking ceremony for Buildings B, C, and D as part of the ongoing development of MNS facilities. This event marks an important milestone in MNS’s journey and signals the readiness to open the Junior High School and Senior High School levels.
The groundbreaking ceremony opened with a special performance by MNS Primary students, featuring dance and choir, reflecting the students’ enthusiasm, creativity, and early talent development of students from an early age. The event continued with remarks from the Chairman of the Multimedia Nusantara Foundation, Teddy Surianto, and the CEO of Kompas Gramedia, Lilik Oetama.
The main groundbreaking ceremony was marked by pressing a siren button, symbolizing the start of the building’s physical construction. The event then continued with a tumpeng-cutting ceremony an express gratitude for the continued development of the MNS building.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Multimedia Nusantara Foundation, Teddy Surianto, said that the construction of this new building is a form of the Foundation’s long-term commitment to providing quality education.

“The construction of these three buildings is not merely an addition to physical facilities, but part of our commitment to preparing a comprehensive educational ecosystem, from the curriculum and learning system to a school culture that emphasizes technology and character. Specifically for the High School level, the facilities we have prepared are aligned with teenagers’ developmental needs, providing ample space for exploration, opportunities to hone their leadership skills, and readiness to adapt to international academic standards. We ensure that every MNS student learns in an environment that is relevant to the challenges of the future, so that MNS graduates grow into innovative individuals who are adaptable to technology and ready to become pioneers in various industrial fields in the future,” Teddy Surianto said.
Buildings B, C, and D at MNS are designed to be environmentally friendly and energy-efficient, using natural lighting and optimal air circulation to create a healthy and comfortable learning environment. The facilities provided support for student development, ranging from international-standard sports areas and modern laboratories to technology-based learning rooms and support areas such as libraries, student lounges, multipurpose halls, and counseling rooms.
Lilik Oetama, CEO of Kompas Gramedia, emphasized that the Kompas Gramedia ecosystem further enhances MNS’s strengths as a strategic education partner.

“Today’s education is not enough if it only takes place in the classroom. Through the Kompas Gramedia ecosystem, MNS has the opportunity to provide industry-based learning. Companies under the Kompas Gramedia Group will provide space for students to learn directly from the real world, understand industry challenges practically, and build professional insights from an early age. We want to bridge the gap between academic theory and the needs of the working world, so that students not only graduate with high grades, but also have a strong portfolio of experience and networking,” Lilik Oetama said.
This event was also made special by the testimony of MNS student parent Stephanie Wongso, whose first-year MNS student is a parent.

“As parents of the first batch, we have seen firsthand how Multimedia Nusantara School (MNS) consistently carries out its vision. The learning experience here feels very efficient due to the smart use of technology. This is a concrete step in line with the digital era so that children are not left behind. In addition, we are very pleased with the Project-Based Assessment method implemented, as it has been shown to foster creativity and build children’s confidence from an early age. The start of construction of this new building proves MNS’s commitment to providing a comfortable, complete, and best learning environment,” Stephanie, representative of MNS students’ parents, said.
In developing the High School level, MNS presents an educational approach that integrates the Merdeka Curriculum with the international Pearson Edexcel curriculum. Through this integration, students will graduate with two diplomas (national and international). Students are also guided through the Talent Mapping program to determine their educational path and to prepare accurately for global-standard exams. Learning is reinforced through character development, preparation for top universities worldwide, and technology use in interactive Smart Classrooms.
In addition to preparing graduates to be globally competitive, MNS also provides tangible benefits for students who wish to continue their higher education domestically through the Multimedia Nusantara Foundation’s synergy. As an institution under the same foundation as Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) and Multimedia Nusantara Polytechnic (MNP), MNS has exclusive strategic partnerships.
Through pathway schemes and curriculum alignment, MNS students can continue their studies at UMN or MNP with a more focused transition process, including the option for a shorter study period. This ensures the continuity of students’ education within a high-quality educational ecosystem.
With the commencement of the construction of these three new buildings, Multimedia Nusantara School further solidifies its position as a school that integrates academics, technology, character, and a continuous education pathway to higher education.
