TANGERANG, 8 October 2026 – The Capital Market Study Group (Kelompok Studi Pasar Modal/KSPM) of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) won 1st Place in the Transaction Value category at the GI BEI Gathering “Road to GI BEI Award and Introduction to Derivative Products in the Indonesian Capital Market” on Thursday (8/10) at the All Nite & Day Hotel Alam Sutera, South Tangerang.
The event, organized by the Banten Representative Office of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), aimed to recognize the contribution and performance of IDX Investment Galleries while strengthening cooperation in developing the capital market. It also served as a way to improve capital market literacy, including an understanding of derivative products and how they are traded in Indonesia.

At the event, KSPM UMN took first place in the Transaction Value category. According to the award documentation, this category carried a prize of Rp2 million. The achievement is a form of recognition for KSPM UMN’s contribution to supporting capital market activity through the IDX Investment Gallery on campus.
Besides the awards, the event featured a presentation on Single Stock Futures (SSF), a derivative instrument with shares as the underlying asset. The material was delivered by Ivolda Arsyad, Directive Business Analyst at IDX, who explained the characteristics of the instrument and how it is traded to the participants.
In her presentation, Ivolda stressed the importance of risk management in SSF transactions. “Because this is a high-risk, high-return product, please manage the risk carefully,” Ivolda said.

Ivolda also explained the use of SSF as a hedging instrument to help protect a portfolio from the risk of share prices falling in the short term. The presentation was followed by a question-and-answer session and a quiz, giving participants a chance to deepen their understanding of investment instruments and exchange information about developments in Indonesia’s capital market.
KSPM UMN student members also took part in the full program alongside IDX Investment Gallery managers from various universities. Their participation gave students a chance to broaden their understanding of the capital market and to learn about developments in investment instruments.
